This Privacy Policy describes how Cuffio (“Cuffio”, “we”) handles information when you use the Cuffio iOS app.
Cuffio is a home cuff log. It does not measure blood pressure. It does not create an account and it does not operate a cloud service for your readings.
You may enter systolic, diastolic, pulse, arm, notes, timestamps, an appointment date, reminder times, and display preferences. These readings and settings are stored locally on your device (including using Apple’s on-device storage). We do not receive a copy of this information.
If you turn on Face ID or passcode lock, Cuffio asks the system to authenticate you. We do not receive your biometric data.
If you turn on reminders, Cuffio schedules local notifications on your device. Those notifications are not sent to us.
If you choose “Import cuff readings from Health”, Cuffio requests permission to read blood pressure already stored in Apple Health (for example by your cuff’s app). If you turn on “Write new readings to Apple Health” in Settings, new readings you log afterwards are also saved to Apple Health, and you can copy earlier readings there with a button. This is off by default, and you can turn it off at any time; Cuffio never writes readings that came from Health back into Health. Cuffio does not talk to a cuff over Bluetooth, and does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data mining. You can revoke access in iOS Settings → Health. If you deny access, Cuffio still works as a manual log.
Readings leave the device only if you act: you preview and share a PDF or CSV, or iOS backup (such as encrypted iCloud Backup of the phone) copies app data as part of backing up the device. We do not operate the share sheet or Apple’s backup.
If you buy Cuffio Monthly or Cuffio Lifetime, payment is processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card number. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that transaction. Purchase records stay with Apple. We do not operate a Cuffio account for billing.
We do not run accounts, analytics SDKs, advertising, crash reporters, or our own servers for Cuffio. We do not sell your information. We do not use HealthKit data for marketing.
Cuffio is not directed at children under 13.
Data stays on your iPhone until you delete readings in the app or delete the app. Uninstalling Cuffio removes its local store. Apple Health data remains in Health unless you delete it there.
Cuffio is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for a licensed clinician. Color labels are published AHA/ACC 2025 or ESH 2023 ranges for reference only.
